Popular Nigerian musicians Adekunle Kosoko, professionally known as Adekunle Gold, and his wife, singer Simi, have welcomed twins.
The joyful news was confirmed on Wednesday when Adekunle Gold shared the announcement on his Snapchat page, expressing gratitude for the new additions to their family.
“Asked God for another child and He blessed me double,” the singer wrote, signaling the birth of twins.
Although the couple has not revealed the genders of the newborns, the announcement has been met with widespread excitement, drawing congratulatory messages from fans, fellow entertainers, and industry insiders.
Speculation about the pregnancy had been building since December, when Simi posted a video on Instagram showing a noticeable baby bump. The post, captioned “From my baby, for my babies,” sparked conversations online about a possible addition to their family.
The anticipation continued weeks later after Simi highlighted a moment from Adekunle Gold’s music video My Love Is the Same, further fueling curiosity among fans.
Adekunle Gold and Simi, who got married in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration, are regarded as one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples. Both artistes were previously signed to X3M Music before achieving mainstream success independently.
The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, popularly known as Deja, in May 2020.
