Nollywood actress Evans Okoro has revealed that she tested negative for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) following allegations that circulated online.
The development comes hours after Okoro publicly called out fellow actress Ekene Umenwa over claims of gossip involving her and other Nollywood figures.
According to the allegation, Umenwa was said to have informed Adanma Waller, a UK-based Nigerian nurse, that Okoro was living with HIV. The claim sparked reactions on social media, prompting Okoro to seek medical confirmation of her health status.
In a video shared online, the actress documented her visit to a hospital, showing the moment she received the laboratory results.
The test result displayed in the clip indicated that she tested negative.
As of the time of this report, Ekene Umenwa has not publicly responded to the allegation.
