Nollywood actor Taye Arimoro has accused actress Peggy Ovie and members of her film crew of physically assaulting him during a movie shoot.
Arimoro made the allegations in a viral social media video on Wednesday, claiming that the incident occurred the previous night while filming on Ovie’s movie set.
According to the actor, tensions arose when he attempted to leave the location after working beyond the time he had initially agreed upon. He alleged that the production team, acting on Ovie’s orders, prevented him from leaving.
“I said I want to go home, they don’t want me to go home. Guys, look at my mouth,” Arimoro said in the video, showing visible injuries to his gum and lips.
He further claimed that his car tyres were deflated and that Ovie’s driver blocked his vehicle to stop him from exiting the premises.
The actor’s video, which has since circulated widely online, sparked outrage among fans and fellow entertainers who called for accountability from those involved.
As of the time of filing this report, Peggy Ovie has not issued a public statement regarding the allegations.
The incident has reignited conversations about professionalism and working conditions within the Nigerian film industry.
