Nollywood actor Jamiu Azeez has publicly apologised to his senior colleague, Opeyemi Aiyeola, expressing remorse over his past actions and appealing for forgiveness.
In an emotional statement shared on Instagram, Azeez described Aiyeola as a central figure in his life, referring to her as a mother, sister, confidant, and benefactor. He acknowledged that his actions had caused her deep pain and admitted fault without reservation.
The actor said he was making the apology openly and sincerely, reflecting on the impact of his behaviour and the bond they once shared. He noted that Aiyeola played multiple roles in his life, including that of a mentor and his most devoted supporter.
Azeez expressed regret for what he described as childish conduct, admitting that he deeply hurt someone who had been instrumental in his personal and professional journey. He said her influence was so significant that he could not tell his life story without prominently mentioning her role.
In the message, the actor also spoke about how much he misses their relationship, questioning who would fill the void left by her absence in his life. He highlighted moments where her guidance, correction, encouragement, and support meant the most to him.
The public apology has drawn reactions across social media, with many fans and colleagues urging reconciliation and commending Azeez for taking responsibility for his actions.
