Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has announced that her next studio album, Starrgirl, will be released on August 14, giving fans a first look at what promises to be one of the year’s biggest Afrobeats projects.
The 16-track album will be released under Mavin Records in partnership with Republic Records, adding another major release to the singer’s rapidly expanding international catalogue.
Among the project’s standout collaborations are Wizkid, who features on “Gimme Dat,” and fellow Mavin Records artist Rema, who joins Ayra Starr on “Who’s Dat Girl.”
The album will also include previously released singles “Tornado” and “Hot Body,” both of which have already generated excitement among fans ahead of the full project.
To build anticipation, Ayra Starr shared a cinematic trailer and a series of promotional images on social media, featuring the singer in a striking blue mini dress.
Announcing the countdown on Instagram, she wrote: “Starr girl is comingggg. 11 days! Are you ready?”
The announcement coincides with the launch of an official pre-save campaign by Mavin Records, allowing listeners to add the album to their streaming libraries before its release.
Since breaking onto the global music scene, Ayra Starr has continued to strengthen her position as one of Afrobeats’ leading voices, earning international recognition through chart-topping releases, sold-out performances and collaborations with some of the industry’s biggest names.
With Starrgirl set to arrive on August 14, expectations are high that the album will further cement her growing influence on the global music stage.
