Zambia striker Rachael Kundananji has expressed confidence ahead of her side’s decisive Group C clash against reigning champions Nigeria at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Copper Queens head into the encounter in high spirits after a commanding 6-0 victory over Egypt in their opening match, while the Super Falcons are looking to recover from a surprise 3-2 defeat to tournament debutants Malawi.
Nigeria must avoid another setback to keep their quarter-final hopes alive, while a win for Zambia would secure the Copper Queens a place in the last eight.
Despite acknowledging the challenge posed by the Super Falcons, Kundananji believes Zambia has what it takes to emerge victorious.
“We understand it’s not an easy task, it’s the game that will determine both team’s fate, it’s the game that will make everything easy or tough. It won’t be an easy game and we are just looking forward to doing our best,” Kundananji told reporters.
The crucial fixture will be played at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off scheduled for 9 p.m. Nigeria time.
