The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course will commence nationwide on Wednesday, August 5, with the three-week exercise scheduled to end on August 25 across all orientation camps.
The scheme disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, stating that the orientation course would be conducted simultaneously in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). It also announced that prospective corps members can now access their call-up numbers through their dashboards, while call-up letters will be released later.
“Accordingly, Call-up Numbers have been uploaded to the dashboards of prospective Corps Members, while Call-up Letters will be made available in due course,” the statement said.
The NYSC also said its Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated all prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Service Year on completing their studies and becoming eligible for national service.
“He congratulates all prospective Corps Members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Service Year on the successful completion of their studies in higher institutions within and outside Nigeria, which has qualified them for national service,” the statement read.
The Director General further advised the prospective corps members to prioritise their safety while travelling to their respective orientation camps, urging them to avoid night travel and comply with all travel and safety guidelines.
“He wishes them a safe journey to their respective Orientation Camps and strongly advises them to avoid travelling at night. The Director General also urges them to strictly adhere to all travel and safety guidelines throughout their journey to the camps,” the statement added.
