Argentina will wear their navy blue kit for Wednesday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final against England after FIFA approved a special request from the defending champions.
The Albiceleste, who traditionally play in their iconic white and sky-blue stripes, opted for the alternate strip in a nod to past victories over England, including Diego Maradona’s famous appearance in the colour and their 1998 World Cup triumph over the Three Lions.
FIFA confirmed in its Match Colour Designation released on Monday that Lionel Messi and his teammates will play in navy blue shirts, white shorts and red socks, while England will line up in their traditional white kit.
