Controversial Nigerian streamer Peller has spoken publicly about his time in police custody, claiming he went four days without food or a bath before securing his release on bail.
The social media personality was arrested on July 3, 2026, following a confrontation with police officers after he alleged they pointed a gun at him during a stop over his tinted vehicle.
He was later arraigned before a Lagos State Magistrate Court on charges of conspiracy to commit felony, conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace, and obstructing police officers while carrying out their duties.
The court granted him bail in the sum of ₦500,000, subject to conditions.
Speaking after regaining his freedom, Peller took to his Snapchat page to explain why he had not returned to livestreaming, saying the experience had taken a toll on him.
“I didn’t bathe or eat for four days. I can’t show my face yet because I look ugly. It has never happened to me before in my life,” he wrote.
He also recalled his first moments inside the detention facility, saying other detainees welcomed him humorously by calling him their “001.”
“They wanted to wicked me, but God saved me,” Peller added while reflecting on his time in custody.
