According to the latest YouTube Music rankings reviewed on Tuesday, Burna Boy also boasts 6.41 million subscribers, placing him ahead of several of Nigeria’s biggest music stars.

The platform’s top 10 Nigerian artists also include Rema, Omah Lay, BNXN, Young Jonn and Odumodublvck, based on subscriber figures and audience reach.
Burna Boy’s latest YouTube Music achievement comes shortly after another major streaming milestone. In recent weeks, he became the African artist with the highest monthly listeners on Spotify after reaching 46.84 million listeners, surpassing the previous record of 46.58 million held by South African singer Tyla.
The surge in Spotify listeners has been linked to the global popularity of Dai Dai, Burna Boy’s collaboration with Colombian superstar Shakira.
The song was selected as the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and gained additional global exposure following the duo’s performance at the tournament’s opening ceremony, further strengthening Burna Boy’s international profile.
