Sunshine Stars of the Nigeria National League have officially declared midfielder David Igoche Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL).
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the club’s manager, Mr. Gabriel Aborowa.
The club stated that Igoche has not resumed training since June, when the team returned for pre-season preparations.
Sunshine Stars also cautioned clubs, agents, and other stakeholders against entering into transfer discussions with the player without prior consent from the club.
They further stressed that he remains under contract and continues to receive his agreed entitlements.
The team is currently preparing for the 2026–27 NNL season.
