The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has formally called on its member associations to submit bids for the hosting rights of the Africa Cup of Nations for the 2028, 2032 and 2036 editions.
The announcement was published on CAF’s official website, confirming that all 54 member nations are eligible to apply for any of the three tournament cycles.
CAF noted that the 2027 edition will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, running from June 19 to July 17, 2027.
According to the governing body, the bidding process has been structured with guidance from its independent adviser PwC, alongside technical, financial and legal consultants.
The Africa Cup of Nations remains the continent’s premier football competition and is widely regarded as one of the most prominent sporting events globally.
