Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has addressed public concern over his wellbeing following the circulation of a viral video showing him in Abuja.
A fresh video shared on Tuesday by a man who said he met the actor in the nation’s capital captured Anuku appearing calm as he responded to the attention generated by the earlier footage.
Reacting to the public concern, the actor dismissed suggestions that something was wrong with him, insisting that he was doing well.
“Y’all haven’t seen anything yet. Y’all should face your government and leave me the hell alone. If you don’t have a better thing to do, go do something. I’m good,” Anuku said in the video.
The renewed attention follows an earlier clip that surfaced online on Saturday, showing the veteran actor lying on a road in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja.
In the widely circulated footage, Anuku was seen talking to himself while holding a disposable cup, prompting concern and speculation across social media about his condition.
The actor’s latest remarks appear to be his first public response to the viral incident, as he sought to reassure the public that he is fine while urging people to direct their attention elsewhere.
