Former Chief Justice and UGM party presidential hopeful David Maraga has issued a State of the Nation address Tuesday.
In it, he outlines what ails the country and what he will do to fix the issues if elected president.
He hit out at President William Ruto’s government, accusing it of taking part in grand corruption.
“The president, his Cabinet, top officials and corrupt businesspeople have turned government into a business. SHA, Affordable Housing, PPPs and G–to G are all geared to looting public resources,” he said.
“I’m not a career politician…I have come to this political space because of an urgent national need. After deep reflection and extensive consultations, I accepted the request of Gen Zs and many other Kenyans to run for president in 2027 to call this country to order.”
