USÂ President Donald Trump hosted mixed martial arts fights on the White House lawn on Sunday (June 14), an unprecedented spectacle that marked the first professional sporting event in the White House’s history.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship event was part of the Trump administration’s celebrations of the nation’s 250th anniversary and was held on Trump’s 80th birthday.

Photographs showed Trump seated ringside with UFC CEO Dana White and First Lady Melania Trump, and was also seen talking with his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Barron Trump, as well as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and former soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
In the main event, heavy underdog Justin Gaethje defeated Ilia Topuria to capture the lightweight championship. Photographs captured Gaethje celebrating his victory with a flip and smiling after his win.

The event began hours after Trump and Iranian officials announced a peace agreement to end a nearly four-month-old war between their countries.
