The organisers of the Ballon d’Or have announced that the 2026 edition of the prestigious awards ceremony will take place in London on October 26, 2026.
The event will mark the 70th edition of the annual football awards as attention gradually shifts toward identifying the successor to 2025 winner Ousmane Dembele.
Dembele remains among the leading contenders after helping Paris Saint-Germain secure the Ligue 1 title ahead of their Champions League final clash with Arsenal this weekend.
His teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is also considered a strong contender, while Harry Kane saw his chances weaken following Bayern Munich’s Champions League semi-final exit.
Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid is also still in contention for the award.
