Ashmusy has revealed that freezing her eggs has significantly reduced the pressure she once felt to get married quickly.
The media personality and content creator made the disclosure during a recent episode of the Echo Room podcast, where she discussed her views on marriage, fertility, and personal planning for motherhood.
Ashmusy explained that the decision to preserve her eggs has given her reassurance about her future as a mother, even if marriage does not happen immediately.
According to her, the move has helped her step away from the anxiety that once influenced her romantic decisions.
She admitted that she previously came close to marrying a man she did not consider ideal, largely because she felt time was running out to have children before age 35.
At the time, she said she was driven more by fear of missing out on motherhood than by compatibility with the relationship.
However, she noted that freezing her eggs has changed her outlook completely, allowing her to make relationship decisions without urgency or pressure.
Ashmusy added that while she still desires marriage, she is no longer desperate for it, stressing that she now has options for becoming a mother in the future if the right partner does not come along.
She also mentioned that she remains open to alternative paths to motherhood, including insemination within the next few years if necessary.
Beyond her fertility journey, she shared a personal aspiration to have mixed-race children in the future.
Reflecting on her earlier mindset, she said many women rush into marriage due to fears surrounding fertility, a situation she believes often leads to poor partner choices.
“I almost got married just because I was scared of time running out,” she said, noting that her current perspective is more intentional and less emotionally driven.
Ashmusy emphasised that freezing her eggs has given her emotional and psychological freedom, allowing her to focus on the right partnership rather than societal timelines.
