Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has advised men to avoid holding grudges against their wives, stressing that open communication is essential for maintaining a healthy marriage.
In a post shared on X, the actor said husbands, as heads of the home, should address misunderstandings directly with their spouses rather than resorting to silence or prolonged resentment.
He encouraged couples to engage in honest one-on-one conversations whenever conflicts arise, noting that misunderstandings in marriage can sometimes stem from either partner’s actions or reactions.
According to him, only clear communication can help couples properly understand the root cause of disagreements and work toward resolution.
Edochie further argued that men who avoid difficult conversations weaken the foundation of their relationships, adding that “real men” confront issues directly, regardless of how uncomfortable the discussions may be.
He emphasised that effective communication remains a key pillar in sustaining long-term marital stability and preventing emotional distance between partners.
His comments come amid ongoing online discussions about marital issues involving media personality Frank Edoho and his estranged wife Sandra Edoho, where claims of unresolved conflicts and silence within the marriage have circulated on social media.
