Madonna, Shakira and BTS will perform at the half-time show during the final of the 2026 World Cup in the United States. The event will follow the style of a major music show inside a football final.
The final will take place in New Jersey in July, with the performance set to happen during the break of the match. The show will bring together top music acts for the first time at a World Cup final.
The half-time performance is expected to last about 11 minutes. Organisers say it is designed to fit into the normal break time in football.
Shakira is also set to release a new World Cup song that features Nigerian singer Burna Boy. She has performed at the tournament before and remains one of its well-known music figures.
Madonna, known for global hits over several decades, recently appeared on stage during a music festival in the United States. BTS, one of South Korea’s biggest music groups, have returned to full activity after members completed military service.
Fifa President Gianni Infantino said the show will mark a major moment for the tournament. The performance is being coordinated with help from Coldplay’s Chris Martin. It will also support a global education fund for children.
