Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage is set to host a grand finale concert for more than 100 emerging creatives who have completed training under her music foundation initiative.
The event will take place on Sunday, April 26, at the National Theatre Lagos, a major cultural venue in Lagos.
The concert will be hosted by Darey Art Alade and Kie Kie, and will feature live performances, including original compositions and collaborative showcases developed during the training programme. Outstanding participants are also expected to receive scholarship awards.
The initiative, titled “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Emerging Musicianship Intensive,” ran from April 22 to 26. It offered participants hands-on sessions in performance, songwriting, music production, and the business side of the music industry.
Speaking ahead of the finale, Savage said the programme aligns with her vision of creating pathways for African talent to access global opportunities.
She explained that the foundation aims to serve as a platform for nurturing creatives across the continent, with a focus on long-term growth and industry impact.
According to her, the goal extends beyond developing artists to grooming professionals who will influence different aspects of the music ecosystem, including production, executive roles, and ownership.
Savage also highlighted the importance of access, noting that talent alone is often not enough to succeed without the right support systems.
She added that participants of the programme are expected to grow into roles such as film composers, label executives, and mentors who will help shape the next generation of creatives.
The concert is expected to serve as both a celebration of the participants’ progress and a platform to spotlight emerging voices within Nigeria’s growing creative industry.
