Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has responded to claims made by influencer Olawuni Oluwapelumi Abike regarding her participation in the film Ijakumo.
Abike Shugaa had alleged in a viral video that she was paid N50,000 for her role in the production and later discovered that her scenes did not appear in the final cut. She also referenced her experience working on other film projects.

In a statement posted on her official X account on Friday, Abraham addressed the claims, stating that she had supported Abike in different capacities and clarified that the influencer was duly compensated for her roles.
The actress explained that Abike received N500,000 for her appearance in Malaika, describing it as a significant payment for an emerging talent, and also received N50,000 for two scenes in Ijakumo, which were eventually removed during post-production by the director.
Abraham emphasised that she is among Nollywood producers who actively invest in upcoming talents, noting that she has consistently supported new entrants in the industry.
She, however, indicated reluctance to further engage in the public exchange, adding that she prefers to step back from the controversy.
“I won’t say anything, may God bless everyone of us,” she stated.
The development comes amid renewed online attention on Abraham following recent public exchanges involving colleagues in the film industry.
