Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has been granted bail after spending several weeks in Kuje Correctional Centre over allegations of impersonation involving social media commentator VeryDarkMan.
The development was confirmed on Friday by activist and former presidential candidate Omolere Sowore in a brief statement shared on his official Facebook page.
According to Sowore, Blord was granted bail on self-recognizance following his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
However, the court imposed additional conditions, including the requirement that he submit his international passport as part of the bail terms.
“Bail has been granted to Linus Williams, popularly known as @mrblordofficial BLORD, on self-recognizance. The court, however, ordered that he deposit his international passport as part of the bail conditions,” Sowore stated.
Blord had earlier been remanded on April 1, 2026, following proceedings linked to the allegations against him.
The case remains ongoing as legal processes continue at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
