Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has agreed to an amicable resolution in the ongoing legal dispute involving celebrity crypto entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika.
The development follows the intervention of veteran human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, who played a role in discussions surrounding the case.
Court records indicate that Blord was remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre for 26 days on April 1, 2026, after a social media-related conflict with VeryDarkMan escalated into legal proceedings.
Following his remand, Sowore publicly criticised the circumstances surrounding the case and vowed to push for Blord’s release, while also questioning the approach taken by VeryDarkMan and his legal representative.
VeryDarkMan later responded, threatening legal action against Sowore and defending his stance in the dispute.
Blord was subsequently granted bail on self-recognition two weeks after his detention.
Speaking after the court proceedings, counsel Marshall Abubakar—who also represents Sowore—confirmed that efforts were underway to resolve the matter outside the courtroom. He noted that both parties had agreed to settle the dispute amicably and report back to the court at the next adjourned date.
According to Abubakar, stakeholders involved in the case had shifted focus toward reconciliation, describing Blord as now being on friendly terms with those previously engaged in the dispute.
He also acknowledged Sowore’s involvement in facilitating discussions and commended VeryDarkMan for agreeing to pursue an out-of-court settlement.
Abubakar stressed that while the matter began as a public disagreement that escalated into criminal proceedings, efforts were now being made to bring it to a peaceful conclusion in the interest of all parties involved.
The case is expected to return to court on the next adjourned date, where progress on the settlement will be formally reported.
