The Port Harcourt-based side reclaimed their position at the top of the standings after securing a 1-0 win over Gbenga Ogunbote’s squad during their Matchday 34 fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium this past Sunday.
The decisive moment of the match occurred early in the first half when Wisdom Samuel found the back of the net in the 10th minute, successfully finishing a play orchestrated by Taofeek Otaniyi. Following the final whistle, Finidi noted that his players managed the game with professional ease, maintaining defensive stability throughout the contest.
Reflecting on the nature of the win, the technical adviser emphasized the team’s ability to dictate the tempo without facing significant pressure from the opposition.
“We didn’t suffer much, it was a game that we controlled properly, no too much stress at the back. We didn’t create much too,” Finidi remarked to the club’s official media department. “If you look at the overall performance of the team,it was a good one. We are quite happy with the performance, and the victory.”
