Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has publicly criticised Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over what he described as deteriorating living conditions in Ose Local Government Area.
Afod, who said he has repeatedly appealed to the state government for nearly a month, expressed frustration over what he views as a lack of response to pressing community needs.
In a video shared online, the actor highlighted several challenges affecting residents, including poor road networks, inadequate healthcare facilities, and declining access to education.
He pointed to abandoned school structures in Idoani, alleging that teachers have left the area and that children are no longer attending classes due to the conditions.
Afod also raised concerns about the healthcare system, claiming that general hospitals in the area have been shut down, leaving residents with limited access to medical services.
The actor further stated that some communities in the local government have lacked electricity for decades, adding that Idoani itself has reportedly been without power for about eight years.
He called on the state government to work with local and federal representatives, including lawmakers and council officials, to address the situation.
Afod urged authorities to take urgent steps to improve infrastructure and restore essential services, questioning how long residents of Ose Local Government would continue to face such conditions.
