Independent artiste GTS 40K and rapper Dremo are set to release a new collaborative single titled Backshot on May 1, 2026.
The upcoming track marks another joint effort between the two artistes, who have previously teamed up on songs like Kiss & Tell and Juju. Their earlier collaborations gained traction within Nigeria’s street-pop scene, earning them recognition as a dynamic duo in the genre.
According to the artistes, Backshot builds on their established chemistry, combining GTS 40K’s street-driven sound with Dremo’s signature rap delivery. The track is produced by Duke Blaq, a frequent collaborator whose work has featured prominently in GTS 40K’s recent projects.
Speaking about the release, GTS 40K described the collaboration as seamless, noting that both artistes share a strong creative connection.
“Working with Dremo is always natural. We speak the same language musically. ‘Backshot’ isn’t just a song; it’s the energy the fans have been asking for since we dropped Kiss & Tell,” he said.
The single follows their 2024 joint project, Never Back Down, Vol. 1, which delivered tracks that resonated with fans of street-oriented Afrobeats and hip-hop.
Backshot will be available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Audiomack. Pre-save links are expected to go live on April 17, 2026, ahead of the official release.
