The partner of musician Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke has urged fans to support a bail petition for the Lekompo artist, which has gathered more than 14 000 signatures.
Chauke, popularly known as Shebeshxt, remains in custody, facing multiple charges, including nine counts related to attempted murder.
He was arrested in November 2025 following a shooting incident in Ladanna, Polokwane, on 19 October 2025. His previous attempts to secure bail have been unsuccessful, keeping him in detention.

Bail petition for Shebeshxt
His partner, Kholofelo Moloto, shared a post on TikTok urging supporters to sign the petition calling for his release.
The message on the petition website reads: “We, the undersigned, members of society, hereby pledge our support to LEHLOGONOLO KATLEGO CHAUKE, also known as SHEBESHXT. We humbly request the court to give him one last chance to be out on bail.”
The appeal has drawn mixed reactions from fans, with some sharing their views on TikTok.
“Unfortunately, the law doesn’t work like that… His charges are very complex, and he’s an ex-convict,” one user commented on Moloto’s post.
Another wrote: “He was given a chance to redeem his life and do better, and god gave him everything waphinda.”
Earlier this year, Moloto announced that the couple had welcomed another child. The announcement came days after Chauke was denied bail by the Polokwane High Court on 9 January.
The couple previously lost their daughter, Onthatile, in a car accident in 2024.
