Socialite and nightlife entrepreneur Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has reacted to the recent killings in Jos, describing the violence as deeply troubling.
In a post shared on Instagram, Okechukwu expressed grief over the loss of lives, stating that disturbing visuals from the incident have remained on his mind.
He questioned the persistence of such attacks, asking why individuals would derive satisfaction from violence against others.
The businessman also criticised the response of authorities, particularly referencing the approach taken by the Caleb Mutfwang during a visit to the affected community. He argued that leadership requires courage and the ability to stand with citizens during difficult moments.
Okechukwu further suggested that the timing of the attack may have been intended to embarrass Bola Tinubu, who recently marked his 74th birthday.
He called on security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and prevent further incidents, while also urging stronger support for the President in addressing the country’s security challenges.
The reaction follows reports that at least 28 people were killed in an attack on the Angwan Rukuba community in Plateau State. Governor Mutfwang has since condemned the incident and assured residents that those responsible will be brought to justice.
The attack occurred as the President marked his birthday with a subdued celebration, citing ongoing national challenges.
