Popular Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has offered a candid look into her marriage, saying she does not feel constrained by it.
Speaking during an appearance on the African A-List podcast, the actress described her husband, Kayode Salako, as a calming presence in her life. She noted that their relationship is built on trust, friendship, and mutual respect.
Daramola explained that she enjoys a high level of independence, stressing that her husband does not restrict her decisions. According to her, even if she chooses to travel abroad for an extended period, he would support her without hesitation.
She also described Salako as her closest ally and biggest supporter. Despite occasional disagreements, she said conflicts between them are usually resolved quickly, often within a short time.
Her remarks come two years after Salako publicly acknowledged marrying another woman, Oluwafunke Oyegoke-Salako, while still married to Daramola. At the time, he defended the decision by citing the absence of a biological child after over a decade of marriage.
Daramola and Salako have been married since 2010.
