The All Progressives Congress has firmly denied reports circulating in parts of the media claiming that it has already fixed prices for expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The report, which began trending on Friday, alleged that aspirants seeking the party’s presidential ticket would be required to pay ₦200 million for nomination forms, while candidates contesting for seats in state houses of assembly would pay ₦20 million.
Reacting to the claims, the party described the publication as false, misleading, and entirely without basis.
In an official statement issued on Saturday, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified that the purported price list did not originate from the party and should be disregarded.
“The attention of the All Progressives Congress has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating in sections of the media regarding a purported price list for expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 General Elections. The APC states categorically that the report is fake and did not emanate from the party,” Morka stated.
He further emphasized that the party has neither deliberated on nor approved any pricing structure for nomination forms for the 2027 elections.
“To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections,” he added, dismissing the report as “a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.”
The APC also called on party members, media organizations, and the general public to ignore the report, stressing that any official information regarding the 2027 electoral process would be communicated through authorized party channels.
