Popular social media commentator VeryDarkMan has raised doubts over the cancer diagnosis announced by media personality Blessing CEO, calling for verifiable evidence to support her claims.
Blessing CEO had earlier disclosed that she is battling stage 4 breast cancer, sharing her condition publicly while also seeking financial assistance for treatment, including a possible breast amputation.
Her announcement drew sympathy from many Nigerians, including celebrities, who flooded her social media pages with messages of support.
However, reacting in a video posted on Instagram, VeryDarkMan expressed scepticism, stating that the seriousness of cancer makes it essential for such claims to be backed by credible documentation.
“I just hope what Blessing CEO is saying is the truth. Because I hope it is not a prank or clout chasing… cancer is a very sensitive matter globally,” he said.
He further argued that no medical report or supporting documents had been made public to confirm the diagnosis, questioning the transparency of the appeal.
According to him, providing proof would help clarify doubts and reassure those willing to offer assistance.
“Post the proof here,” he added, while stressing that health-related claims should be handled with utmost responsibility.
The development has sparked mixed reactions online, with some users supporting the call for verification, while others criticised the tone of the demand, urging compassion given the sensitive nature of the situation.
