The United States has reportedly sent Iran a 15 point proposal aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, signalling a renewed diplomatic push by the Trump administration to secure a resolution.
According to two officials briefed on the talks, the plan was delivered through Pakistan as Washington seeks an exit strategy from the war, now in its fourth week, amid mounting economic pressures linked to the crisis.
Details of the proposal remain limited, and it is unclear how widely the document has been circulated among Iranian officials or whether Tehran is prepared to accept it as a foundation for negotiations.
Uncertainty also surrounds Israel’s position on the initiative. Israel has been conducting joint military strikes with the United States against Iranian targets, raising questions about whether it supports the diplomatic effort.
Despite the lack of clarity over regional backing, the transmission of the proposal reflects what officials described as an intensification of efforts by Washington to bring the conflict to a close, particularly as the war continues to draw in additional countries.
While a copy of the proposal has not been made public, officials familiar with the discussions said the framework addresses key security concerns, including Iran’s ballistic missile capability and its nuclear programme.
The development underscores growing international focus on diplomatic channels as economic and geopolitical risks tied to the conflict continue to escalate.
