Nollywood actress Seilat Adeyemo has announced the death of her father, describing the loss as deeply painful and overwhelming.
The actress shared the news in a post on her Instagram page, where she reflected on her father’s final moments and the emotional toll of his passing. According to her, he “fought so hard” before he died.
Adeyemo, known for her role in the film Damifunre, expressed the depth of her grief, noting that losing a parent is an experience she would not wish on anyone.
“My dad fought so hard, but God loved him more and called him home to rest,” she wrote. “I never imagined I would feel this shattered and broken. Losing a parent is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”
The grieving actress also appealed to fans and well-wishers for understanding, explaining that she is not in the right emotional state to respond to messages at the moment.
“I see all your calls and messages, but I’m not in the right state of mind to respond right now. I will get back when I can. Thank you for all the love,” she added.
Since sharing the news, Adeyemo has received an outpouring of support from colleagues, fans, and members of the entertainment industry, many of whom have taken to social media to offer condolences.
