Amid growing security concerns across the Middle East, the Nigerian Embassy in Kuwait has called on citizens in Kuwait and Bahrain to exercise caution and strictly follow safety directives issued by local authorities.
In a statement shared on its official social media platform, the mission advised Nigerians to stay calm, monitor official announcements from the Kuwaiti and Bahraini governments, and adhere to all security guidelines.
The alert followed reports circulating online, including a video claiming residents had sighted missiles during heightened regional tensions.
The embassy said it is closely tracking developments and working with Nigerian community leaders to ensure residents receive timely and accurate information. It emphasized that Nigerians in both countries should rely only on verified sources to avoid panic or misinformation.
To strengthen communication, the mission provided dedicated contact channels for inquiries and updates, including email and phone/WhatsApp lines, and encouraged citizens to remain in touch with embassy representatives for assistance where necessary.
