Legendary Nigerian artiste Innocent “2Face” Idibia has revealed that his first son, Nino, has no intention of following his footsteps into music.
Despite Nino’s talent as a saxophonist, the 19-year-old has his eyes set on a different career path.
2Face disclosed this while introducing his son on stage during an event in Abuja held to celebrate his 25 years in the music industry.
“Make some noise for my son Nino,” he told the audience as the young performer joined him.
“He said he doesn’t want to be a singer. He wants to be a doctor,” the music icon added, to loud cheers.
Born on January 15, 2006, to 2Face and his former partner Sumbo Adeoye, Nino Idibia is known for his skills as a saxophonist, and also works as a model and social media influencer.
While many Nigerian artistes have children who venture into music, such as Wizkid’s son, Boluwatife Balogun, who recently debuted his EP Champions’ Arrival under the name Champz, Nino appears determined to carve a different path.
