Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has shared reflections on past decisions he now regrets, revealing how personal and professional challenges have shaped his outlook on life.
The music icon spoke candidly during an appearance on the Mic On podcast, discussing lessons learned from emotionally charged moments and stressful experiences.
The father of six admitted that intense pressure and strong emotions had influenced some of his past choices. “There are so many things I wish I could rewind and do better,” he said. “As a human being, there are times when you are overwhelmed or don’t make the best decisions. My thick skin is weaker now.”
2Baba also revisited a controversial incident in London in October 2025, when he had a public disagreement with his wife, Natasha Osawaru. Taking responsibility, he acknowledged that anger played a major role in his behavior.
“I was angry that day. It was an unfortunate incident. I let my emotions get the best of me. I want young boys and girls to learn from this. When you react in anger, you end up regretting what you do,” he explained.
The award-winning artist stressed that balancing personal struggles with life in the public eye can be challenging. He added that such experiences have forced him to rethink how he manages conflict and stress, emphasizing the importance of careful responses in tense situations.
“These experiences have made me more reflective,” 2Baba said, noting that accountability, emotional control, and personal growth are key lessons he now values highly.
