Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has debunked reports claiming he was arrested in London.
Speculation about the singer’s alleged arrest surfaced on Friday after he failed to perform at his scheduled tour stop in London on Thursday night. The reports alleged that 2Baba was detained following a heated altercation with his wife, Natasha Osawaru.
However, addressing fans in a video shared on his Instagram page Friday morning, the African Queen crooner dismissed the claims as false.
“We had a medical emergency. It was tough on the show organizers and everybody that came out. We go rebook, we go come out with meaning to happen,” 2Baba explained.
He also urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information, adding, “Please, if you no sabi something, make una no talk, I beg.”
2Baba reassured fans that plans are underway to reschedule the show and deliver a proper performance for his London audience.
