As students reported back to school after the holiday break, a sixteen-year-old girl fell asleep in a matatu and later woke up in an unfinished building, showing signs of sexual abuse.
The incident happened on what was meant to be the first day of her final school term this year. Her mother is urging parents to be vigilant during the back-to-school season as she struggles to find counselling for her traumatised daughter.
